Medical Photography
When you hear the term "Medical Photography" what do you think of? Do you think of pictures of nurses and doctors, doing their job with a smile on their face? Maybe you do. However, when a lot of people hear that term, they think of parts of the body being recorded with pictures to try to tell what is wrong with a certain patient. That is one form of medical photography, but there are also a lot more.
Medical photography also helps teach future doctors and nurses more about what the field is like. They will use these photos to determine what is wrong with the body. Autopsy's are a great example of medical photography. When someone dies, they will do an autopsy report on the person. They will take all sorts of pictures so they can go back and look at them once the person has been cremated or buried. That way, if the case opens back up as a murder, suicide, ect, they can go back and explore more.
X-rays are another great example. How could we tell if a bone is actually broken or not without x-rays? Maybe we could, but it wouldn't be as easy. X-rays are taken on a daily basis and are very important to doctors today. Those are just a few reasons why medical photography is a very important aspect in today's world.
